Jarquya’i is the name of a group of Central Iranian languages spoken in the Jarquye region in southeastern Isfahan. Also known locally as Velâti, this group is from the southern branch of the Central Iranian languages and is spoken in the villages of Nikabad, Paykan, Azarkharan, Hassanabad, Khara, Malvajerd in Lower and Upper Jarquya. Similar varieties are prevalent in the city of Varzaneh and its surrounding villages such as Kafran, Qortan Qahhi, Hashemabad, Ejieh, Harand, as well as on the Isfahan-Nayin route in Kuhpayeh, Segzi, Meshkanan, and Todeshk.
