Iranian Languages Corpora
Iranian Languages Corpora is an archive for the documentation of endangered Iranian languages. Its principal objective is the systematic collecting, processing, and disseminating of linguistic and cultural corpora that not only support academic research in the field of linguistics but also empower native speakers to vitalize and revitalize their languages and cultural heritage. This platform is interactive by nature and has been developed—and will continue to grow—through the active collaboration of speakers and researchers of Iranian languages. In its initial phase, Iranian Languages Corpora aims to compile a linguistic corpus consisting of a basic vocabulary list and example sentences that describe the grammar of each language variety; a resource that can also be used in the creation of an atlas of Iranian languages. However, the goals of the Iranian Languages Corpora go beyond linguistic data collection. it also strives to record and disseminate content related to various aspects of the cultural life of Iranian language communities, including local literature, handicrafts, traditional lifestyles, believes and rituals, local history, and other elements of intangible cultural heritage of Iranian languages.
